Self Portraits

This term Room 9/27 have been learning to sketch a picture of our face.

We practised in our sketch books first and it was a very long process.

First we had to get the shape and size of our head right.  Then we had to work on our features like our eyes, nose, ears and mouth and other details that made us who we are.  Then we added in our hair and neck and shoulders.  It was hard work but we are very proud of our finished pictures which we coloured in using pastels.

I like reading animal story.  My favourite animal is a horse.

Sometimes it is hard to read the words.

I can sound out the words I get stuck on.

I like to write about going to the beach. 

Sometimes it is tricky to spell the words. 

When I get stuck I can use the word card.

It is easy for me because my mum can help me with my counting.

It was easy because I can read the words.
