Acrostic poem

I am learning how to write an acrostic poem.  I know that I start each sentence with a letter of the subject.  I wrote about myself. 

Bird pillow

For our Art Exhibition this year we learnt how to sketch a bird.  The final drawing was transferred onto calico and dye was added.  The bird was glued onto a pillow that Mrs Scott and Mrs Worsfold had sewn.  Don't they look great!

Yanni said, " I can put in lots of 'wow' words to make my story very good."

I am learning to sound out 3 letter words.

I am learning to say the first, middle and last sound in a word and then blend the sounds together to write the word.  This can help me in my reading and my writing.

" I can sound out letters because if I get mixed up I sound the words out. I can miss out the word so I can read back and work out the word." said Yanni

I am learning to write number sentences to 10

I am learning to write number sentences to 10 and use this knowledge, when I play games, to solve problems in my head.

"  I can put the biggest number in my head and count on." said Yanni
